As a manager, when you have created an action plan you can share it with your subordinates or copy it to your colleagues.
Share action
If you are responsible for more than one unit/team you can share all your actions to subordinate units. In that way your units will have the same actions.
To share the action you simply click the ‘share action plan’ tab and choose which units/teams to share the action to.
When you have shared an action you units within your responsibility, your subordinates won’t be able to edit the action text.
Copy action
If you want to copy an action to another manager for inspiration for your colleague. Simply press the copy icon on the action and tick the unit that you want to copy the action to.
As a default the manager of the unit you are copying to are responsible for the action. But you can choose to type another person to be responsible for the action. The person responsible for the action will receive email notifications. Read more about email notifications here.
When you copy an action the manager receiving the action are able to edit the action text.
An important difference between sharing and copying an action are when copying, the receiving manager will be able to edit the action text. When the action is shared the unit you share the action with will not be able to edit the action text.
